JE26 Squad joined The Depot Royal Marines in September 1965. We were extremely fortunate to have Mike Jones and Sammy McLachlan as our DL’s.Both made a lasting impression and became friends during the course of my service. Mike atended all of our Squad reunions and was to be found with a glass holding court wi5h his never ending fund of stories. Unfortunately i am unable to attend the funeral as Thursday 28th March is my Granddaughters 18th Birthday. Please accept my sincere condolences, i shall miss him.
